The faculty at KMPIP regularly participate in various seminars and conferences to keep themselves abreast of the latest developments in the field. All the senior faculty have been trained in medical education to update themselves with the latest teaching methodology. Its students are actively involved in organising events like 'Physio Week' and 'Conference of the Physiotherapy College Students of Gujarat', which leads to their holistic development and not just academic ones. Apart from having an orthotic and prosthetic workshop, KMPIP also has an occupational therapist on board to provide complete rehabilitation to the patients.

KMPIP runs a full-fledged OPD with ultra-modern, highly sophisticated, and state-of-the-art equipment. It has computerised EMG / NCS equipment, which is a highly valuable tool in diagnosing neurological problems. It also has a special OPD dedicated to patients with neurological disabilities and a modern whole-body gym with professional trainers. The Institute provides 24x7 physiotherapy services to the critical care units, ICUs, and cardiac ICUs and caters to the needs of inpatients who are admitted to Shree Krishna Hospital, the teaching hospital of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad.

KMPIP also runs an orthotic workshop, effectively contributing to complete rehabilitation. The institute also runs a certificate course on splinting and offers an observership in EMG / NCS. It also collaborates with other departments of the Pramukhswami Medical College and Shree Krishna Hospital in various research activities aside from conducting its own.

Understanding the needs of the stakeholders, KMPIP took a step forward and initiated two fellowship programmes, viz., cardiac rehabilitation and onco rehabilitation, which is spread over nine months and are offered in hybrid mode.

As a constituent institute of Bhaikaka University, KMPIP is determined to distinguish itself as a centre of excellence in physiotherapy with regards to education, research, and patient care so that it emerges as an institute of choice for students, patients, and academicians alike.

Its long-term goal is to reach out to the community around it and serve the underprivileged at large by offering quality rehabilitative services equitably.
