The institute is registered under GSCPT - Gujarat State Council for Physiotheraphy.
The institute has MoU with Special Olympics Bharat- A district level sports event for differently abled children. Every year KMPIP organizes various sports events like athletics, volley ball, foot ball, wheel chair race, badminton, table tennis and bocce for children and adults with various disabilities from Anand district. We also organize camps for the Unified sports event to train the players, their coaches and the parents of those children. The institute also takes regular part in various disability awareness programs organized by Special Olympics, Anand.
Khel Mahakumbh is a sports event run by Ministry of Youth Affairs, Gujarat, under which K M Patel Institute of Physiotherapy organizes district level sports events for differently abled persons in association with Government of Gujarat and Special Olympics Bharat, Anand District.
Khel Mahakumbh is one of the most prestigious sporting events which was started three years before by the Govt. of Gujarat, attracting the best athletes from all over Gujarat. KMPIP offers on-field physiotherapy services to all the participants with their therapeutic skills and expertise since 2013.
Khelo India is another initiate by the government in which our institute actively participate and promote youth sports activities.
The institute has associated with SSA (Gujarat) (22nd November 2019 to 31st March, 2020) in providing resource persons from our institute to their resource rooms located in various blocks of the Anand district. In this program our therapists treat the children with disabilities visiting the resource rooms on every Friday.
In support of persons with disabilities, the institute played a key role in registering our Charutar Arogya Mandal with Persons with Disabilities (PwD) act (Reg.no. 862/15).
