2) Anti-Ragging Committee


Ragging is strictly prohibited and banned on the campus.

The UGC regulations for curbing the menace of ragging will be enforced on all students and parents. The Anti-Ragging Committee is in place in accordance with the UGC guidelines which ensures that no such heinous act ever occurs. To monitor, promote and regulate healthy interaction between the fresher and senior students, the institute level Anti-Ragging Squad is also in place.

3) Student Grievance Committee


The institute has formulated a Student Grievance Redressal cell.

Objectives of the student’s grievance cell:

  1. To support those student who have been deprived of the services of the institute for which he/she is entitled
  2. To make officials of the institute responsive, accountable and courteous in dealing with students
  3. To ensure immediate effective solution to the student’s grievances with an impartial and fair approach

Functions:

  1. Redressal of Student’s Grievances to solve their academic and administrative problems.
  2. To co-ordinate between students and Departments/Sections to redress the grievances.
  3. To guide ways and means to the students to redress their problems.

Procedure:

  1. The grievance submits in writing to the HOD/ or designee of the grievance redressal cell, a detail narrative of the problem
  2. The Cell will act upon those cases which have been forwarded along with the necessary documents
  3. Investigation by the cell
  4. Action by the Cell

Exclusion:

The Grievance Redressal Cell shall not entertain the following issues:

  1. Decisions of the Executive Council, Academic Council, Board of studies and other Administrative or Academic Committees constituted by the University.
  2. Decisions made by the University with regard to Disciplinary matters and misconduct.
  3. Decisions of the University about admissions in any courses offered by the Institute.
  4. Decisions by competent authority on assessment and examination result.

4) Women Empowerment Cell


To empower the girl students and to enhance the understanding of issues related to women and for intellectual and social upliftment of female student our institute established women empowerment cell. Central Women’s Cell is also in place in the campus in which the Principal of KMPIP is a member.

5) Placement Cell


The institute has installed ‘ A Placement cell” in the institute for encouraging the placement activities .

Function of the placement cell:

  • Sensitizes students about the job prospects, opportunities, also offers assistance in case the student wishes to set up private clinic

Objectives :

  • Encourage/ Promote Scientific search in the institute
  • Support and monitor the research activities in the institute
  • Disseminate information about funding opportunities
  • Coordinate and inform about the forum for the inter change of ideas and presentation of result
  • Produce research request at the end of year
  • The research committee will meet every month and will have co-guide in each specialty who will help the researcher at ground level.

To encourage and promote research, the undergraduate internship program is inclusive of a small project to orient the students to the concepts of research. All the post graduate students are required to undertake a research project as dissertation towards the partial fulfillment of the MPT course and the institute emphasizes on getting their research work published. The faculty are given sufficient facilities to pursue research in their respective specialties. The Institute collaborates with other departments of the Pramukhswami Medical College &Shree Krishna Hospital in various research activities apart from conducting of its own.

7) Humanities Committee


For last few years, many universities and academic institutes have been offering the course on liberal art and Social Sciences, complimentary to their conventional curriculum in technical and non technical subjects. HMPCMCE runs similar course on Liberal art and Social Sciences (Humanities and Social Sciences) for the undergraduate students of all four colleges.

The objectives of this course are to add the Art part to the science part of our conventional teaching program. Through this course students will have better understanding of the society, its culture, their life experiences, etc. which will help the students to strengthen the humane approach in their professional life, nurture positive attitudes in their work and contribute equally to their personality development. The course is expected to improve their professional skills by improving their decision making, critical thinking, communication and their ability to handle different and difficult situations in a better way. It will help them in viewing the world with a broader perspective.

  • This course is an interdisciplinary one which includes mainly literature, history, visual art, performing art, philosophy, religion and social sciences.
  • The course will be run mainly with students’ participation, facilitated by in-house faculty and external subject experts.
  • The Principal along with the coordinators of first and second year BPT coordinate with the university for the conduct of this course.

Councils

Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy :

The Gujarat state assembly passed a bill for the formation of Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy (GSCPT) in the state, on Wednesday, 30th March, 2011. The formation of this council will give an Independent status to Physiotherapy professionals at par with other Medical Communities like Medical, Dental, Ayurveda and Unani.

The council will thus play a major role to ensure high level quality Physiotherapy care and services to the society. Institute would be allowed to increase its intake capacity or start new courses with the prior approval of the state government and the council. The council will also maintain the standards of uniformity in Physiotherapy education in the state at par with National & International Standards. It will also open doors for Scientific and Research activities in the field of Physiotherapy. The institute is a registered member (Reg.no. GPC/INST-SR/66) of Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy - GSCPT (2018-2023).
