He joined the Institute as the Principal in February 2013. His remarkable achievements on the professional front make him an ideal leader for the Institute. His pioneer work has paved the way for other professionals to follow. As a leader, he holds a vision of enriching the quality of the Institute in terms of patient care, academic activities, and research. He has 17 years of clinical experience and has served as Principal & Professor at All Saints Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Ludhiana for a period of 11 years. He has also been awarded ‘Rashtriya Vidya Saraswati Puraskar’ for outstanding achievements in the field of physiotherapy by the International Institute of Education and Management, in 2006.
He has served as a Dean of, the Faculty of Physiotherapy at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. He is the managing editor of the Journal of Advanced Physical Therapy and associate editor of Baba Farid University Physiotherapy Journal. With his dynamic leadership we the staff and students of the KMPIP family will reach new horizons in the field of Physiotherapy. He is a FAIMER Fellow from Manipal Academy and now serves as a faculty advisor at Manipal for the FAIMER program. He is also the clinical director for the Gujarat state Special Olympics program.

K M Patel Institute of Physiotherapy (KMPIP) comes under the umbrella of H M Patel center for medical care and education (HMPCMCE), attached to Shree Krishna Hospital which provides multidisciplinary care to patients. The institute has well-qualified and experienced physiotherapy faculty with strong clinical reasoning, therapeutic skills, and research background. This institute provides a platform for the students to sharpen their overall persona in the form of participating in various curricular/co-curricular/extra-curricular activities. The institute also runs a multi-mentorship program to support the students throughout their stay. Here, the students are given a rich opportunity to undertake research projects even at the undergraduate level. The interns and the residents (PG students) are given stipends as an incentive for their professional services during their study period.
